Got only one group of mice left, so I decided to make their home a really good place for them. So I took 3 same size glass tanks, and put them on a table that was made to exact fit. So there is no extra space on sides of the tables for the mice to jump on. Mice will never jump off from a high place, so they wont escape.
The tanks have ladders, so mice can move from tank to another easily.
In firs tank there is natural environment, dirt, rocks, branches, grass...
In middle tank is their nest. After the video I added a lot more pedding, allmost to the top of the tank, so they can dig in there. They will feel like living underground, like in nature.
In third tank is feeding bowl, their toilet, and a running wheel. Mive are clean animals, and if provided enough space, they will use a toilet, and not the whole cage.
There is one male and 6 females in there, and the male seems to have breeding problems, because they have not had babies in 3 months.

  • how much did u spend on the cage setup

  • @yongsheng1 I got those tanks used, so didnt cost much. And not all at same time anyway, so I cant remember exactly how much.

  • A brige, good idea but the rats can escape.

  • @RevolutionaryM Yes, rats would escape. Mice wont. They have lived on this about 2 weeks now, and none of them have escaped yet.
