5043 with "The Inter City" return to Birmingham Moor Street, departing Paddington in classic GWR Castle form, turn up the sound "full volume"as she leaves, just like the 50s & 60s! Thank you Tyseley. working wonders as always! If your a youtube film maker say hi! I tried to get you all in our video for the fun of it! great atmosphere with so many people enjoying railway heritage at it's best on the main line!

  • Great Video! I saw her at Langley :) and Merry Christmas!

  • @60103Henry Merry Christmas Henry, long time no see! All the best for 2011. Tony.

  • What date was this train filmed?

  • @Radarderek Saturday 11th December 2010

  • Seeing the loco at Paddington reminded me of the classic GWR poster advertising the 2 hr Birmingham service with the Edwardian gent shaking the driver's hand and saying 'Magnificent Run!' (the poster didn't mention that in those days drivers who had a good run got tips from First Class passengers!). Anyway, very attractive set of images.

  • @JimTLonW6 Thanks Jim, pleased you enjoyed the clip, it was a fascinating spectacle, I love those posters too, GWR, a wonderful railway indeed!

  • @FonteDeiMarmi Thanks :) and you!!

  • @NN2Blue Thanks Mike, I saw so many familiar faces at Paddington, probably enjoy watching their clips too, so it was nice to have time to try and capture the excitement of the enthusiastic crowd, and 5043 is such an exceptional machine, a Castle class always was a powerful beast-Tony

  • A great record of the day - capturing the people as well as the machine! I "accidently" saw her at Heyford Station - Oxfordshire. Thanks for sharing. Mike
