Shooting Thru A Cigarette with an Air Rifle Pellet

I haven't seen anyone try to shoot through a cigarette before. Seen people shoot ashes off them and all that. Here we see what a cigarette looks like when it is hit head-on with a high speed pellet, and filmed in high speed.

I don't claim to be a terrific rifleman or that my rifle is the baddest thing west of the Missippippi. Hopefully seeing unusual things filmed in high speed is more impressive to you than my fire arms skills.

The card shot was shot at the same range. You can see a few extra streaks on the side of the card from grazing shots that skidded along the side of the card.

I was unable to find much of the cigarette. I believe the pellet logged inside the filter and ejected off to the left. The cigarette idea was from a guy at work when I asked him what other things I should try to shoot.

@bell2626 You do realize that pellets aren't meant to go supersonic, right? Past 1000fps the transonic wave overtakes them and causes tumbling, wrecking accuracy. And anything less than 2 pounds is asking for a negligent discharge.

@bell2626 but your pellets probably wobble all over because the sonic shockwave that they create catches up to them in a heartbeat, and when it hits them, they go tumbling. Trust me, I am repeating this verbatim from a master marksman's advice. If it shoots THAT FAST, put some heavier lead through it!
