TV commercial for the Barnabas Collins Game. Barnabas was a character in the 1960's soap opera Dark Shadows. He played a tormented vampire who was repulsed at what he had to do to survive. The series became a pop culture hit and continues to have a large cult following. Sorry for the bad quality.

  • Isn't it funny how back then a show like this was scary. Now look at what is considered scary. I prefer back in the day.

  • @argentofan123 You have to consider when this was, though. ABC was pushing the envelope with this. I guess the atmosphere was eerie. House of Dark Shadows was definitely more violent. Barnabas was the literal bad guy. And the staking of Carolyn was something that you didn't see of TV. Plus Barnabas bought it in the end. Or did he? Remember the bat flying off?

  • @mkl62 Definitely not too intense for children. Literally the most tame thing that tv could play. Also laughable by today's standards, not that I think it's laughable, I love the show and wouldn't give a darn about my kids watching it.

  • jonathan frid. he was listed in the phone book in manhattan. we were teenagers and tried to call, he had to change his number.

  • I was able to find a couple of these games on E-Bay...Oh what memories

  • I loved this game! I just liked putting the skeleton together and making it glow, but it fell apart really easily.

  • I had this ! Oh my goodness I had this!

  • I still have 2 of these games. They came with 1 pair of plastice fangs and I think every kid in the neighborhood took turns wearing them, yuck!

  • i remember buying this game at a yard sale in about 1980 for .50 cents (i was 10yrs old)don't have it now......mom probably trashed it soon after....now there selling for about $90.
