In the heart of the land of Greeks, in the area where the Mount Othris stands, the region that is surrounded by the gulfs of Pagasitikos and Maliakos (Malian) since the ancient times has been a place blessed by the gods of nature, Fthiotida. Throughout the ages it has been the home of Gods, semi-gods, leaders of races, heroes and common men who have been inspired by wonderful myths and legends and have written the brightest pages of history. o­n this land Defkalion and Pyrra, the mythical ancestors of the Greek nation who had ruled the kingdom of Fthia and after the disastrous flood, gave birth to Protogenia, Amfiktionas and Hellinas.Here the first federation ( in Greek amfiktionia) to unite the people of the Pre-historic time was established, Hercules realized his feats and was deified, Achilles and the rest heroes of Homer's " Iliad" were born.
