you're changing to a lock resistant to a new attack. The old cylinder could apparently be broken in 5 seconds by a burglar. The new one can't.

Had to change my cylinder this morning as it was faulty,a new one from B+Q £15.00 not to bad better than i thought but beware there are two sizes a 35 and a 40 mine was smaller of the two (35).This video helped me a lot!!..Cheers for the upload!

I just have to say that you've posted an extremely helpful and informative video - you could've quickened the pace which would've made it more engaging but once more a vast improvement on your earlier work. Keep it up mate

Thanks ace2a66d20; that is why you might want to "change the lock if you hadn't lost or broke the key???" (as posted by jimmicreesi). However, the Break Secure euro-cylinders actually do break but they break in the lock so entry cannot be gained from outside.
