Views around Exeter Cathedral to the accompaniment of the bells. I know it's two days late but I've been busy.

  • How many bells here?

  • @captaincook71 There are 14 bells in the tower. 12 are ringing in this video. They are not very loud outside but loud enough

  • Was MJH up there?

  • Oh yes.

  • I prefer these bells to Liverpool cathedral because at Liverpool it all sounds like a big swirling cacophony of industrial noise, but Exeter don't. That's why i like them!

  • I've not been lucky (unlucky?) enough to hear Liverpool outside so I can't comment. Exeter inside are not easy to hear.

  • Do these bells are very loud in the reality?

  • They sound utterly amazing in Princes Park Toxteth with a good wind! They have the time to sort themselves out and then carry a decent tune.

  • What a lovely sound over Exeter on Christmas Eve

  • well just settle for York..... St. Pauls are crap...and Liverpool are perfectly audible from the bottom of St. James Rise - nowt wrong with 'em - its usually the ringers at fault

  • i want to ring there :P

  • I think they are a perfect cross between St. Paul's Cathedral and York.
