Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Carpenter Rescue Without Bow [1/2]

Location - Gerudo Fortress

Weapons/Items: Master Sword, Hookshot

Description:

I have found a way to rescue all the carpenters while avoiding the guards without the Fairy Bow. As soon as you enter the Gerudo Fortress, go all the way to the left and enter the entrance, WITHOUT the guard catching you. Now go save the first carpenter, first by defeating a Gerudo guard. Next go outside and head north. Go up and take a right, AVOID the guard detection and take another right. Here's a tricky part, wait for the guard to face the other way while it has walked pretty far from the entrance, climb up the ledge and take a left to the entrance, inside is another carpenter in need of rescue. Again, defeat another guard and now go out the opposite way. When you're outside go down the ledge, not all the way, and enter the entrance. go down to save yet another carpenter, yada yada yada.. BUT! this time, go back to the entrance you came from, now climb up the vines and take a left. Take some steps forward and use your hookshot on the wooden bars up top to get on the little edge. Hookshot again to get to the otherside and exit the room. Now you see that little entrance to your left of the screen? Yea enter there. Now here's the hard part, when you're in, move a little back, just enough that another step will take you back outside. Ok, take out your Hookshot and wait until the guard walk by, don't Z target, because it'll just make it harder to stun her, but stun her with the Hookshot. Once she's stun, walk by WHILE stunning her with the Hookshot until you're up the ledge. Go up and save the last carpenter. After you saved him, a Gerudo liked your performence and will give you the Gerudo Card Membership. You can now have access in the Fortress without any problems with the Gerudos.

@Wolfsrain90 - you can't save! WTF! and there is a time limit, and it was just dumb. i don't want to sit there all day without being able to do anything else. i have a life, family, sports. :P

@emmie4124 Yeah. SS sort of looks like a shark-jumper...but then again, so did WW. As for TP, I thought it was gorgeous. My biggest qualm was the large amount of padding and the lack of compelling side-quests. I also disliked the fetch-quests that forced you into wolf form. Other than that, enjoyable game.

But you don't like MM!? Why not? >:o

@Wolfsrain90 - besides ocarina of time, which changes the video game world when it came out being the BEST GAME OF ALL TIME, twilight princess is my second favorite <33 i just like the original story line, how link grows up in a small town, then realizes his true journey and needs to save hyrule. it may be alittle different than OoT, but it still is badass. skyword sword looks like it;s gonna jump the shark for zelda, and MM just sucked balls. the original, amazing.

@emmie4124 Yeah, it's most definitely the N64 version (or the modded ROM counterpart).

The 3DS version is far better rendered, brighter, and more cartoony, which is odd because I always thought that OoT and MM would look like TP were it not for the 90's-00's graphical limitations.
