Norm Lewis is, in my opinion the most intense and most convincing Javert. Loved him in the 25th Ann Concert.

Ahhhhh Norm Lewis was fantastic when I saw him in Les Mis on broadway. And I loved Celia Keenan-Bolger and Brian D'dario.

I think that alot of people dont like the new orchestrations because they were used to the old ones for 20+ years. I think the new ones are good, especially keeping in mind that they had to deal with a much smaller orchestra pit on the revival than they did in all the other venues.

PLEASE someone tell me there is a recording of JOJ doing Valjean on Broadway. That was SUCHA good cast. It went from crap with Alexander to less crap with Drew to amazing with JOJ. If you have it DON'T HOLD OUT ON US!!!!

I wish there was, I loved that cast, I would have prefered if Lea Salonga had stayed around untill it closed, but Judy Kuhn was a good replacement.

Wow. The touring company was much better than this back in 2005. The music is really awkward. The singing isn't very good either, not to say they aren't talented, after all they are on Broadway, but they are taking the wrong interpretation of the music. Flight was terribly awkward. I just didn't get any feeling or emotion from most of the actors in this video, except for the Bishop.
Overall I'd like to see something come about with the original orchrestrations come back. Why mess with success?

They mess with success because Cameron Mackintosh is stupid. Which is why the revival had those icky orchestrations. It would have been so much better with the originals and the 1997 revisions.
