This is the new Optimyst Electric Fireplace by Dimplex. The 3-dimensional illusion of smoke and flame combines with the glowing logs and shimmering ember bed. See Hechler's Mainstreet Hearth & Home in Troy Missouri and let us explain this new technology and fireplace to you.

  • i would laugh my ass off if you put you hand in and you hand caught on fire

  • Totally awesome!

  • Very cool fireplace, just get someone with some excitment in the voice. Not this guy,Mr.2-D.I bet your a barrel of laughs at some parties.

  • @betsydoris ADD much? couldn't make it to the :38 mark where he says how much it goes for?

  • love this fire but how do you find how much it cost to buy

  • You are doing a great job marketing this technology. It's perfect for those that live in places like New York city where there are restrictions (and dangers) associated with wood burning and gas fireplaces.

Dimplex North America is giving money away by ignoring this market. Many of us that live in Urban areas that want a realistic fireplace (but would NEVER settle for some tacky electric fake looking insert) would pay a premium for an insert with this technology.

    Anyway, great video:)

  • Thank You for this video! I have one of the original Dimplex inserts which I like so much and am so glad to finally see that the Opti-myst has been introduced into the U.S. Apparently the model(s) are limited for now. Is there any chance that Opti-myst electric stoves (i.e. the Cadogen) will be available in the U.S. anytime soon? I keep searching but none available yet.
