  • i dont know crap about wine and i like this guy but ... he does seem like hes on some kinda upper ya know ... so no nose snuffles ... most likely not coke. could be meth so much energy and so much talking ... new question whats this guy on ! ? :D

  • We've just posted a great video on Best Value Bordeaux!!! check it out!

  • Love it

  • @kaceyspurgeon

    Someone is mad.

  • Classic coke head...

By the way, you pour wine like a scum bag and you swish the wine like a schmuck. By the way, when you smell it at 2:08 you really look like you love it...yeah right and you look like you are able to throw up after tasting it...what a professional.

    Go to hell.

  • @SingleServingJohn Yeah John no prob. TrampyG is right about Tanzer -- I agree 2nd to Parker and I do post there but not many other places except sporadically. I'll check it out for you as well and see what I can find that seems reputable. I assume by "amateur at best" you are looking for something general as opposed to specific boards dedicated to cult Tokay Pinot Gris. Haha. I'll get back to you.

  • I don't post much except for Tanzer's website (International Wine Cellar). I think you need a subscr. to post (comes with other stuff - his reviews and ratings etc.). Let me check around for free sites and I'll let you know. I happen to like Tanzer's site because he's reasonable in his views (2d to Parker in my view) and the people on his site are friendly. Lotta snobbery BS in the business that most sites are not going to be worth your time. I'll let you know what I find.

  • @Trambinator Thank you for the reply. Very informative and I'll keep this in mind when pouring wine in the future. Would you perhaps know of any good forums where knowledgeable people like yourself gather to discuss and share information with each other? I am an amateur at best when it comes to wine but I would very much like to learn more.

    Thanks.

  • Because you need more to get the full nose, bouquet, and taste of the wine. A little sip doesn't do it and doesn't allow enough oxygenation. Air lets the wine breath -- which is, in part, why he pours it vigorously into the glass. It sloshes it around and oxygenates it. Would not do that with an older wine because you would stir up sediment. You would pour it much slower and more carefully. He knows what he's talking about even if you do not like his demeanor or presentation. He knows wine.

  • thats what meth does to your speech pattern
