If anything can be learned from the tablet, it's that the four finger gesture on the home screen will let the user select from up to six apps running simultaneously.
Remember how Brushes, the virtual art canvas app, from the Apple keynote supported in-app playback of what the artist had painted?
Say you had three apps running at the time, Imagine that same in app playback applied to the last use of each of those applications.
Performing this dashboard gesture would show three split views with animations of the last things touched within those apps, so the function the user was intending with those applications become instantly clear.
This helps not only the tablet multi-task, but also the user, as it helps them keep their train of thought while navigating through multiple apps. The animations would show the last actions taken in that app such as last text entered, album art, a navigation bar item, etc.
