I've been obsessed with this song lately! It was written by Jackson Browne when he was sixteen, which is ridiculous. To compare, when I was sixteen I wrote a song called 'Everything Sucks And I Hope You All Die'. Ok, that's not true, but it's fair to say that anything I did write then was slightly less elegant than this.
Anyway, the way I play it is mainly thanks to a live version I have by The Tallest Man On Earth, and of course the original release by Nico.
If you want to help support my music, please download the song (for free, link at the top) and maybe send it to a friend.
You can also listen to / buy my original songs (I promise my writing has improved since I was sixteen!) All of this can be done from my website - http://blueskies.fm
Thanks for watching & reading!

p.s. I hope you like this one because playing it gave me the ultimate blister of death on my thumb. Might be a while before I play any finger picking songs again!
i think i love you

I can definitely hear the Tallest Man influence here. Well done sir, quite a wonderful version of this song.

@Chuckdrinksmilk ... then learn from it, try to improve, write something better and release that. Once you get into that routine it's less daunting. I look back at some of my earlier stuff and think it's crap! I think everyone does, but it doesn't matter because without it I'd never have improved and wouldn't be writing what I am today - stuff that I think is good. (Of course I'll probably look back in 5 years and disagree!)

@ChuckDrinksMilk Sure, I think the hardest part is the first step (as always!) Making the decision to actually release something - I played music for ten years before writing my own songs, then a couple more years before releasing anything. If I'd thrown myself into it from the start I'd be so much further along by now. So I guess the advice is don't hesitate. Your first song doesn't have to be a masterpiece, just write something, put it out there, see what people think...
