the message is about having advertisements and lies shoved down your throat by the media trying to sell you shit. John is fairly passionate about animal rights and his belief is that what we're told about meat is one of these lies. I eat meat and even I believe that we're told to eat way too much meat. Three servings of red meat a week, the size of the palm of your hand. Most meat eaters would eat that in a day. Anyway, the reference to meat is an aside, the song is about being fed shit in ads.
