No, definitely not. The band was originally formed as Ricky Knight and the Crusaders back in '61. The name was changed to The Hullaballos in the summer of '64. It could be argued the despite the initial PR generated by the show, the overall exposure via Hullabaloo was detremetal to the image of the band due to the cheesy image the show projected. We much preferred to play what was then heavy rock. Our version of Party Doll perhaps came nearest to the driving rock we played.
