Correct hard disk not found? Not anymore

my ps3 recently said "cannot start, correct hard disk not found" well i called sony and researched this a little bit and this is what i found.

1. turn off system completely (this means the switch on the back)
2. hold touch sensitive reset button down till you hear 3 beeps, than let go.
3. hold down touch sensitive reset button until you hear 2 beeps and a double beep.
4. follow on screen directions, choose what option you want (i pick 3, it
seems to work the best)
5. follow on screen directions

***I am not saying this works every time, it MAY break your ps3 more but I don't think it will, I am NOT responsible it it breaks more or it doesn't work**

at 1:02 instead of it saying "Connect the controller a USB Cable, and then press the PS Button" instead i got a "Cannot start. the correct hard disk was not found. help?

my ps3 hard drive is fried and i dk how to go about getting a new one and cant find any downloads to reinstall the ps3 os please someone help

@NoRcOPWNS96 actually yeah i did you can remove the hard disk without taking apart the ps3 system entirely and it works everytime.

Guys, If this don´t work is because you PS3 controller wasn´t recognized by your console. Try using a dualshock and try the same steps. Then use the option 5 of menu (Restore PS3 System) and then follow the instructions and later try to system update procedure from a usb drive. For me that works and then restored my data.

guys this might not work bcuz my friend opened my ps3 when that happenend to me and there were a couple of cords lose and he just plugged them back in so u might want to look inside just in case and if it works
