Arriving in her brown robes of her Soto Zen lineage, Jana tells the crowd that a monk is not allowed to remove their robes in public. Jana wanted a little more full disclosure - so taking off her robes she revealed her T-shirt (slogan = "Honorary Gay Man") and donned the Scottish garments of her older lineage. For her disrobing, an enthusiastic churchgoer held out some dollar bills. Jana says "No, in my younger days I used to take my clothes off for money, now I put them back on for money!" Jana sang this love song to MCC. Q Sangha, Tuesdays at MCC SF, 7pm, starting May 17th, 2011. See www.janadrakka.com for more details on Jana.
