The Likes Of Us - Will This Last Forever

The first collaboration of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice resulted in a musical entitled: "The Likes of Us". Unfortunately, due to legal disputes and a falling out with the original script writer, the show never found its way to the West End and/or Broadway. However, the show has been given new life by a new playwright and has been offered to youth theatre groups before (eventually) hitting the West End.

The songs from the original collaboration were performed at the Sydmonton Festival in 2005 with Stephen Fry as narrator.

Pretty song--Though it's basically the same tune as "If This is What We're Fighting For" in The Beautiful Game, with a bit of Sunset Boulevard's "With One Look" .

@frakte Well, time-wise, "The Likes Of Us" was originally written in 1965 and was Andrew Lloyd Webber's first musical, so it's more like the songs you mentioned are the same tunes as "Will This Last Forever" (not vice versa). However, I get your perspective.
