If you actually backcombed on a real person like you did here, they person would be in so much pain.

@NewOrleansPharaoh lucky...

glad my hair locs all on its own just like JAH intended. PEACE

@MrRhinobug probably would be easiest to dye some hair extensions, dread them and then clip them in?
-
something about watching a white girl dread barbie hair makes me feel dirty inside... lol but seriously, this isn't very helpful for someone who will be dreading their own hair, you didn't have to section it and there's no funky angle to compensate for

@Redhitman41 I mean wax

@seattle0sound Get dread waz and use that

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, do you do anything different when working with real hair?
-

its says from the rot to the rot will hair still grow dreaded
Hahaha it looks like you started getting lazy after about 3 inches of backcombing, the beginning looks tight the rest was kinda of meh, but great tutorial

@CzarThePlezer
i did get a little lazy. ^^ the reason being that this hair was super slick, and didn't wanna knot up well. while i'm sure that that's what you want in weaves, hair extentions, etc, (who wants to pay big bucks for frizzies?) it made the backcombing a bit of a pain. this video is edited, the full video is actually over 10 minutes long, and full of cussing. "WTF?!? IT WON'T STAY !!"
this has never been a problem for me when I've done real hair, on someone's head.

question.. Do you have to have an ethnicity that is not black to do the backcombing technique?

@crazyghetto978818
I've known/seen people of every ethnicity backcomb, it'll work for anyone.
