A film every bit the equal of "The Wizard of Oz" (1939) in terms of inventiveness, execution and sheer entertainment value -- not least due to the sensational, beautiful and typically idiomatic score of the great Miklos Rozsa. Raine and the City of Prague PO acquit themselves perfectly.

I've got chills!!! "The Love Of The Princess" segment is just G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!

@amuggle15 Haha how silly of me. The city of prague has done some magnificent recordings.

Correction Screen play by Miles Malleson.

This movie is still holding up after 72 years! A true work of art! Thank you Korda Bros, and Screenplay author Milnes.

@enemyofbohemia The suite came from "Warriors of the Silver Screen" album (1996) - The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Nic Raine.
I included the details under the clip. You have to click "Show more" to see them.
