i resently tryed this techniue ( just useing the portfolio crayons) and then adding the damp paper towl..... but it didn't work.....! am i doing it wrong???!!! the effect was that you could still see the lines drawn on the page instead of it all blending in.... why??? it took me 4 days to find the crayons uesd!!!! plz help me ..... i am trying to use this for my school journal....

@MsArtisticbutterfly I think you usually do still see the lines. Maybe try wetting the crayon tip and trying it that way--see if that helps.

I use this technique all the time now since you've showed this! I love it! ;) Sometimes I just want to get to the journaling but still want a bit of color.
This ink technique is also neat looking over a thin background of acrylic paint! I do the credit card "slap it on there" technique" and then ink over it! Takes about 5 minutes!
