  • As a Druid Tank, our biggest downfall is multiple target threat. While being somewhat inexperienced as a tank contributes to my issue, all we really have is Swipe. Challenging roar is good, but has a longer CD than Growl. Are there any tips from any of other Druid tanks to help keep 3+ mobs on me at all times? And could it just also be some stupid DPS not attacking the same Target as me?

  • @vkz03 At this point, asking dps to singletarget trash in unfeasable due to the amount of natual cleaves built into rotations. I recommend macing a macro to spam swipe and maul into one button, and get the glyph of maul to make it cleave. Spam the hell out of that button, use mangle on cooldown, and tab target after getting off a mangle.

  • i haved 2 questions as i want to get my tank to 80:

    1. how does a paladin keep aggro so he doesnt have to taunt when the mob changes target

    2. how will i know when to taunt off from tho other tank in an encounter such as festergut?

someone pls get back to me, im a real tank noob atm.

  • @iheartnizmojoe If the mob swaps target and isn't sopposed to (fight mechanic, loss of threat), you need to taunt. You don't keep aggro after you lose it, you need to retaunt and regain it.

    2. For fights on taunt switching, You need to know when, and any competent raid will discuss the particulars of the fight before hand. The game will not tell you when to taunt. You have to know when it's needed.

  • Whats the add on called that says when your abilitys are ready, in that red and white text?

Spotting job on passing the plague there. Not by you, just saying.

  • Thanks for this info, I just started WoW and my first character is a Paladin tank. I notice there's a lot of responsibility for tanks but I want to try to master this class. This video was very helpful.

  • very nice video and helpful as well

  • thanks a very nice vid, i personally appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. Thank you very much

  • @kimi625 I have both a paladin and warrior tank. My pally tank still has problems with multiple mobs but my warrior has no problems with multiple mobs. I mostly do aoe tanking (ie thunderclap, devastate (with glyph), and cleave) on my warrior and she does just fine, even outdpsing some of the dps. :)

  • @vkz03 glyph of maul helps and tabbing through while spamming swipe, I never have issue with multi targets unless one bamf of a dps goes all out on the one i havent touched yet.. lol... druid and pally have the easiest time with aoe tanking also a great tanking addon for aoe tanking is called threat plates.. shows the mobs hp over their head and they have a outline that is green when you have agro and red when you do not... turns yellow if you are low on threat.. on that particular mob.. gl
