The aviation industry is set to lose an estimated 1 billion dollars because of flight disruptions caused by volcanic ash - if it lasts for three days. That's according to the Centre for Asia-Pacific Aviation. Some six million passengers will be affected if the closure of airports continues across Europe. The volcanic cloud will also have a long-lasting effect even as airspace reopens, as many planes and crews are now out of sync with their schedules.

  • There are no losses, only profit. According to airline's "terms and conditions" there is no refund in such cases. So, money are paid, aircrafts aren't flying, fuel is not burned. Which losses are they talking about?

  • according to how harmful al gore and other liars are saying CO2 is, this volcano should have already wiped out all of humanity by now...

    ...quick! arrest that volcano!

...fyi, CO2 is good. in fact, it is necessary for plants to live. plants then give off oxygen, which humans breathe...to live...

  • That is exactly the point which I have wanted to raise for a very long time.

People always refer to "economic losses" due to natural disaster - they talk AS IF they could have earned extra profits had the disaster not occurred (which is dubious anyway) - it is disturbing to hear people talk in that way all the time. It is a disrespect to nature and to our world.
