Grey County Main Titles - scoring session

On March 19, 2008 an orchestra performed the Main Titles music composed by Adrian Ellis for my short film Grey County.

This event was a true highlight in my life, and I'm pleased to share it with you here.

Adrian has clairified some of the details of this event for me: "The players were from the Royal Conservatory's Glenn Gould Advanced Student Orchestra (et al. - they were short some strings, so they had others sit in). The session was at the Glenn Gould Stage at CBC studios, and was put on by the Guild of Canadian Film Composers, and is called an Orchestral Reading Workshop. It's a selection process to get in, but less of a contest, though getting the chance to do this pretty much feels like winning the lottery."
