The mini gun is the only weapon in the game where damage is affected by the accuracy of the shot (excluding sniper). so really distance is always a variable when playing heavy

After the recent update, sentry guns are actually doable to destroy now, even alone at medium/long range. Level 3 sentry with engineer support is still gonna rape you, as shown in the video.
For people who don't know, the latest TF2 patch reduced the Miniguns bullet spread, so you can actually kill stuff pretty good at medium distance now.

i think the "with engy" test was unfair since the engineer was a bot and wasn't moving forward, so it does not work what well.

The Heavy didn't have a Medic in the 2nd test :(

Pipe bombs and sniper rifle ignore damage falloff. I don't know if any other weapons do.
