About 45 KM south of Gaspe on 132, about 35 KM from Perce, The observation from La Pointe Staint-Pierre is wonderful. We happened on a feeding frenzy of Northern Gannets and other birds on must be a big school of fish just off the island of the point. Many Gannets dove with acceleration into the water and feed and get up. They seem to come from the south, perhaps Percy Rock or St. Bonaventure Island, and fly south after they merge from water. 7/6/2011. The white birds with black wingtips are Northern Gannets. Others are gulls including black legged Kittywakes, Great Black-backed Gulls, Cormorants, Murres, Razorbills and Guillemots etc.
