With the Awakening happening, war broke loose upon Azeroth. The Knights of the Ebon Blade, the great third generation of Death Knights, were ordered to lay waste to the Light's Hope Chapel in Eastern Lordaeron. There, their leader, one Darion Mograine, son of Alexandros Mograine.

Darion Mograine was there in Naxxramas, and his small band of an orc, a dwarf and an elf -- these three men and the orc female, have attacked Naxxramas. There they laid waste to their armies with infiltration, the death of Anub'rekhan and the rest of the great undead champions. There, the Lady of the Four Horsemen was killed through an axe; Zeliek impaled, and the dwarf death knight cut in two. But the dwarf managed to kill his fellow dwarf, Alexandros killing the orc, the blood elf murdered by one of the treacherous creatures beforehand.

There, only Darion Mograine remained, and cut off Alexandros' throat. He collected the Corrupted Ashbringer. There, the spirit of Alexandros Mograine whispered to Darion to bring him to the SCarlet Monestary. Alexandros Mograine laid untold waste and horror upon the citadel, with one clean sweep beheading his son, Renault Mograine.

Darion returned to Light's Hope, and purged the corrupted blade of Alexandros' spirit, freeing it, by sacrificing himself. In the Siege, Kel'thuzad resurrected Darion as the Highlord death knight, and fled with the remaining undead of the siege.

Now, Darion Mograine returns to Tirion Fordring -- only a death knight now. Now, Tirion Fordring no longer has the orc, the dwarf, the elf and Darion with him as allies. Now, the Knights of the Ebon Blade, come forth from the shadows, bringing untold fury, horror and destruction at the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel, in the world of ...

WARCRAFT!

  • I've played through this many times, but I never figured out: What's beneath the Chapel?

  • @Frankthegb Thousands of fallen holy paladins, whom were killed during the Third War.

  • @Zamoonda90 O.O So.. so the Lich King wanted to resurrect those thousands of paladins as Death Knights?

  • @Frankthegb That was what Darion thought. But what he really wanted to do was turn Tirion Fordring into a death knight.

  • This is good. One thing I hate is that you should be able to chose weather or not you want to continue to serve The Lich King, or to fight against him.

  • Death Knights are amazing; but they overplayed now :[
