Most range training doesn't prepare you for the ugly reality of a gunfight. At the moment of truth, your hands won't be at low-ready, your attacker won't be a piece of paper stapled to a framework seven yards away and he won't wait there patiently while you carefully aim and squeeze off a few rounds.

In this original video production from Paladin Press, best-selling author and world-renowned combat shooting instructor Gabriel Suarez teaches you the combat-proven skills you need to win an actual gunfight against a committed assailant. Suarez focuses on the importance of shooting on the move, how to perform a malfunction clearance in the thick of combat, proper use of cover and why proficiency in one-handed shooting skills is vital.

From there he cranks up the action, demonstrating force-on-force scenarios that seamlessly integrate empty-hand striking and extreme close-quarters shooting.

  • Center Mass shots: Solar Plexus, Heart, Lungs.

    Mid-Torso shots: Liver, Spine.

Lower Torso shots: Hips, Femoral Arteries.

Good shot placement is shot placement that hits the target and causes damage, and that is what is illustrated here. I'm not to fond of the partial squaring with target, or holding of the pistol in the "Close Contact" position (I'm more fond of the CAR system and positions, just my opinion). But the shot placement is sound and would be very effective.

    Thanks for the video.

  • Excellent video thank you for the info,I really liked the lower shooting position some great ideas for training.

  • Excellent information and technique,

    Keep up the good work.

Paladin Press is another great American Company which deserves our support.

  • I am a huge proponent of Gabe Suarez. I actually own this video. I highly recommend his training for serious shooters who want to advance their skill-set.
