There is good and bad in any religion, it depends what road you follow. It can come down to the individual and how you interpret wat u see and hear. As a catholic i feel the principles we are meant to follow can only be good, but there are always those who have extreme veiws which lead to oppression which is wrong

I was just speaking today with a friend of mine that is near death, and is feeling a drawing towards God. However, she believes strongly that the fact that the Church and its priests have occasionally done bad things means that the Church cannot possibly be made by God.

We don't "know" through faith that it wasn't the tomb of Jesus. I think faith assures us that by reason we'll discover that it isn't the tomb of Jesus.
Good point about the Church creating the ideas of universities and hospitals, tho.
