does your stock fits flush? i have an arsenal and a tapco stock made for the milled receiver and theres a very small crack or space in between. hmmmm

@NhanDVu Yes, the stock fits flush, but I had to really tighten down on it. There's no wobble either. Arsenal makes great rifles. Good luck.

It looks like top part of the forward grip gets in the way of the iron sights with the rail attachment. Is this the case?

@1IdeaAhead There is a Groove through the center to allow you to see your front site. It's all black, so I plan to replace the post with a light color or you could paint it, but otherwise, easy to see. Thanks~

@Simpateeko Lol! I didn't notice it until about halfway through the shooting sequence. I removed it all together later. It's really an extra feature to be used in case you run out of bullets : )

I read somewhere that the AK 47 and AK74 share about 60 per cent of the same parts. I believe they would take the same furniture, therefore. I wonder about all those accessories fitting on the AK74 or if you have to look for 74 versions? The catalogs often do not mention the AK74 as much and customer services can be difficult get a hold of.

i could give a crap less about "updating" my rifle, I put this stock system on my AK so it would feel comfortable in my arms. The old wood stock was just too short, my arm was hurting using it and i was getting burnt powder in my eyes.

so i put this on it, and took the top rail off, and leave the bottom rail cover on it. it works a lot better but i do think the wood looked nicer. but the heat shield is a plus

Does anybody know if this tapco stock collapses to a shorter length than the original wood stock? And is it any heavier than the wood?
