I wished for a border collie for 4 or even 5 years but I was never planing to take one, because I had Luna and I was having so much fun with her. (I still have her, but altough she isn't really a working dog, she likes doing tricks and agility). And I wished a dog that would really like to work with me all the time.
I was in contact with a lot of breeders and border collie owners, asking them many questions about border collies. I wasn't searching for great kennels, I was searching for great litters and dreaming about my border collie pup. And when Vicky was born I was already in contact with Ann, breeder of Doggone borders kennel. I right away fell in love with Vicky's look at the beginning and when Ann told me about her character I just knew she was born for me. Perfect, playfull and so active, chewing Ann's shoelaces and and following her around all the time. But there was a problem. I had 4th choice for a girl and I was waiting for the other owners to choose their pups. And hoping for my favourite one to be free. And she was. Because of her unusual colour I guess. But for me, her outside appearance and character were perfect.
We are having so much fun together and she is THE BEST! (:
