One of my favorite songs from Grand Funk's "Survival" album, captured here at the Itchycoo Park Music Festival, Manchester, TN - August 12.
The screening material ended up on the "Rock 'n' Roll Greats - Mark Farner In Concert!" dvd, released in 2004. Track listing on this official (...) dvd is a little messed up.

  • What an amazing concert event this was. One of the best. The water hoses and frisbees were cool. I tried taking some video, but got shut down due to the fact that there was an HD steadycam crew shooting video that was never released. Do you have anymore ? I may have a few minutes of Joey Molland before security took me behind the fence and just said stop.

  • @SuperPeppoman

Yes, I have the complete show with Mark Farner, but it also has been released officially (kind of…)

You can easily find this dvd on ebay either used or new, as you can also find many of the rest artists participated.

    Keep Rockin’

  • Itchycoo 99 This gave birth to now what is Bonnaroo in 2002.

  • Thanks for this , love this song.

  • I love this song - I used to have it posted - I'll have to do it again

  • Itchycoo Park? Hell yeah! I love the Small Faces, Faces, Humble Pie, and of course, Grand Funk. Survival kicks ass.

  • This video is RARE for the reason being...Of all the 20 to 30 shows I've seen Mark do...He has never had this strain in his vocals...Mr. Lmcdan is right, it was definitely an upper repository infection on this night. It would of been classy for the video promoters to let him dub the right notes in to his performance.

I adore this song...and that voice and John for posting it!
