I thought you would not have to take the motherboard out when upgrading I am new to this thoughts on upgrading your computer

@Wigwahm i just removed my dust filters because i pushed my oc more & my house was getting to hot for it.. McLaren Power ! lol, I'm pretty much into most racing some what, just not bike racing, I watch as much F1 as i can but where i live its on at like 5 am, so i miss out on a lot of it.

why did you even change all that stuff, couldn't you have just stuck the new cpu in the old mobo? it looks like an am2+ board...

@thebeetalls I could have put the 965 in the old AM2+ mobo, but I had a new AM3 mobo that I could use the 965 and is more compatible than the old mobo. It was a total step-up from the gaming setup I had.

I am probably not that different from other PC builders. I tend to stay with the manufacturers if the parts work well for me. For me, Asus is the better quality mobos on the market. I won't pass up others, like MSI, or Gigabyte, I just like Asus. That goes for all other parts. Asus for mobos, Kingston for RAM, AMD for CPU, ATi for GPU, Logitech for peripherals.

I try to clean out my PC once a month, but it's more like every three months, lol. Formula 1 and WRC Rock!!! Go McLaren!!!!
