In my opinion, Bolton acquitted himself very well. He has had some classical training and it shows. He is a light tenor not a lyric/spinto as is Pava and one can tell the detrimental effects on his voice from "screaming" pop music. However, when he opens up and lets his voice flow freely--he is pretty good. As Pava said about Bolton, "Perhaps opera has missed a great tenor!" I do love Pava cutting the volume on the last phrase so not to drown out Bolton---such a generous man!

pretty good for a "pop ?" singer. Of course you worshipers of god obvious, he's unpolished.. but I'd dare any of you to stand next to Luciano and so much as sneeze.

mr. bolton, please... this aria is not for you!

@grindaff he's reading notes not words....

Ok..... Bolton and Pavarotti on the same stage.... Hmmm....
This is like a plumber (Bolton) doing a doctor's job (Pavarotti) and performing brain surgery........
