I'm glad to have made this video as it was requested a couple of times. I hope to make a video just on bleeding at some point as that is probably the hardest part of the operation and there are a couple of ways to go about it. For now enjoy this one. Comments are welcome.

  • i just finished doing this whole thing, minus the handy dandy bottle bleeder, lol nice....

thank u SO much Eric, you've made WORLDS of difference in helping me wrap my brain around ALL components, u actually make me want to go back to school to get certified...

one weird thing i noticed was a little bit of fluid seeping thru my new slave cylinder boot at the base, leaked a little, and stopped, now i got full pressure in my pedal again.

Once again, thanks a million ETCG.

  • Is it really necessary to bench bleed the master cylinder before installation?

  • Hey Eric I have a ? 94 Honda accord clutch pedel stays up high when I shift gears it only goes down about 4inches do I need to replace my clutch..any help would be great..thanks

  • Thanks Eric your a Star made my life so much easier in doin the job myself only had to do the slave cylinder but the video was fab

  • Thanks Eric. This was incredibly helpful. I may not have attempted this if I hadn't seen the video. Just finished the job in a little over 2 hours and as you said. The cotter pin was the worst of it. Especially putting it back in.

  • Hi Eric, I installed clutch master and slave cylinder. I watched this video 3x and I did exactly what you did in this video. after 10 tries of opening the bleeder and pedal all the way to the floor and close and release the pedal. I noticed the reservoir is not moving. I remove the new clutch master cylinder and did extra work doing a bench bleed on one of your technique. Put back in and repeat the process. No luck, I still don't have the pressure on the pedal. Pls. help

  • WOW.... Awesome work!

  • guna take a crack at this hopefully this works or my cars not going to wekfest! lol i love ur videos they are so direct and simple unlike otheres! will post update later

  • Thanks for the vid, very helpful. I would also like to add a big F you to that cotter pin. I ended up just bending mine back and forth until it broke.

  • A tip to bleeding by yourself is thread a quick connect into the cap of the master. Regulate your air down to a few psi and hook up your air line. With the master full it will push the fluid down through the line. Its how I bleed my fieros. I zip tie the pushrod back as well so there is no room for air in the cup seal. Great video. I like what you do.

  • Very nice video, my self i repair trucks for living. Know alot things but this video gave me few new pointers. You are doing awesome work when making these videos out for public. A fan from finland.
