never ever call a weimaraner a goofball............they are the smartest most intelligent, loyal dogs I have ever had the privilege to own.....they can probably spell goofball.

If I was 50lbs or more over weight and it was 95 degree's out I wouldn't want to play either.

P.S.

Actually for Collie's their coats aren't supposed to be shaved, doing so can damage the coat of the dog. A Collies coat acts as an "air-conditioner effect" for the breed keeping them cooler.

If it's that hot outside and obviously the dog is miserable, she needs to have her hair shaved in the winter. That's cruel, leaving all the excess hair on Dusty in the heat. All of my medium to long hair dogs get shaved down or at least cut short in the summer when it starts to get hot, plus it's easier to see any ticks, sores, etc with the hair shaved.
