from nytimes: Airports can be tense and testy places in the best of times. At Denver International Airport, you can add glow-in-the-dark eyes to the list of triggers for a travelers angst. A statue of a giant male horse - electric-eyed, cobalt blue and anatomically correct - was installed in February 2008 on the roadway approach to the terminal, and it is freaking more than a few people out.

  • It looks like death with all the bones showing and the red glowing eyes make it demonic... well, I guess it matches the murals inside with people dying from a released gas by an ominous figure in a gas mask...

  • why do you waste time on talking about the house there why dont you talk about whats in the denver airport or how it has the communistic symbole there is so much more important things like the portrait of death thats in that airport....

  • They forget to tell people that the horse killed its creator. ..... Scary

  • It isn't a sundial. Sundials don't have a mark at the "6-o'clock" position because the sun is never directly north of the pointer to cast a shadow in that position, especially at that far north latitude. At 6 a.m. or 6 p.m., the shadow would fall nearer the 8 o'clock or 4 o'clock position respectively on a clock face. You can see the largest sundial in the western hemisphere at Carefree, AZ, on Google Maps.

  • you should not call this "art"!

  • you should not call this "art"!!!

  • its also a sun dial, look at it from above on Google earth.

  • Imagine driving by that thing at night.

I'd turn right around and go back home and hide under the bed.

  • @MariaSue1 An Anubis sculpture was next lmfao

  • They'll probably use that as a way to see who enters and leaves the airport in time to come.

  • Why wouldn't anyone like a giant sized depiction of the horse of apocalypse that stares them down with red eyes as they approach a future 2012 internment camp. I know it doesn't make any sense now but in a very short time it will all make sense. Meanwhile check out the Georgia Guidestones. Fun feel good stuff.

  • pale horse of the apocalypse?
