Did you ever wonder where all the snow goes? Well, I did. And I found out that in Beacon, NY, the snow melts from Mt. Beacon and some collects in the Jessen's Pond Catch Basin. Snow in the City, especially on Main Street, flows into storm drains. The Fishkill Creek is Beacon's main waterway and is the lowest point in the City. Most of the rainfall and snow melt finds its way into the Fishkill Creek. After tumbling over the waterfalls at Madam Brett Park, the runoff enters the Hudson River at the base of Dennings Point. And now you know where the snow goes. - Amelia
