Nintendo: Why Won't You Let Me Give You My Money?

For the 43 Nintendo published titles, I excluded the ones that Nintendo only published in Europe or Australia but I did count games that were published by Nintendo in Japan but someone else in America (like the Mario & Sonic games, for example).

I also, in an attempt to be fair, eliminated a couple games such as Wii Sports (because it was a pack-in in the US) and Wii Play (because most copies were bundled with a controller). Including them would have bumped up the average factor from 3.9 to 4.1.

The 3 Nintendo published titles that sold better in Japan are: Wii Party, Mario Sports Mix, and Samurai Warriors 3.

Where's my Eagle Scout medal? It's part of a framed awards collage that's hanging on my mom's wall. Or in storage, I'm really not sure.

Andrew, how is Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3, Bayonetta, Catherine etc? Oh yeah, thats right you need to wait another year for something decent on your Wii U. haha. Seriously, you must have a 360 hidden somewhere. You can buy one dirt cheap now days.. forget Nintendo.

Forget Nintendo? And give up the oodles of must-play games that can only be found on its consoles? I think not!

Your definition of dirt cheap differs from mine. Average price is $290. Besides, I'd get a PS3 before a 360. More stable hardware and a Blu Ray!

While the Wii U library is currently thin (as has every console's first 6 - 12 months) there are already great games and more coming in the next half year.

But yeah, shame so many great multi-platform games skip Nintendo's consoles.

haha, i meant forget Nintendo for now. I personally own just about every Nintendo First party Wii game with the exception of some of their sports titles. My used video game store sells used 360's for $120...

I don't trust the 360 to work new, I'm certainly not going to buy it used.

No need to forget Nintendo. While the pickings are currently slim, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is keeping me plenty occupied. After that, I have LEGO City Undercover and Pandora's Tower to play. Hopefully, there will be more gaming goodness on the Wii U once I'm done with those titles.

Have fun my friend. The only thing I think you don't trust is that you might have a ton of fun with the 360 or ps3... but 100% certain the Wii U will be worth it in a year or so... so good luck to you!

Of course I'd have a ton of fun with a PS3 or 360 (so long as the hardware doesn't fail). Both consoles have a ton of great games that I'd love to play. But, money and time dictate I only own one console and if I can only have one, it's going to be Nintendo's.

We still haven't gotten the Fatal Frame games. If they aren't going to release them here (since they own 50% of the franchise) it would be cool if they did a Fatal Frame HD collection for the Wii U! The Gamepad is almost like a Spirit Camera Obscura anyway, so they might as well! That's what we at Operation Zero on Facebook are hoping for, (either or would be great). Join us everyone!

Whenever a company makes it difficult to access and buy software (or TV series, or movies) they encourage piracy.If I lived in North America and I couldnt get these titles legitimately, I would find another way. By pirating games that arent available in your region, the company can hardly argue lost profit.
