Jerry (Steven Hunt) goes through relationship troubles when he finds his girlfriend Samantha (Gia Soydan) sleeping with another man. He turns to his best friend Zach (Chris Wilson: We Were Soldiers) for help and ultimately decides whether to continue his relationship with Sam or move on with his life without her.

This was my final project I turned in for a film class at Cuesta College in mid 2009. We had to write our own story, cast or own actors, go through a 'pre-production' and 'post-production' learning process and eventually turn it in. Despite my so-so dialogue in my writing and my lack of directing experience at the time, I was proud of what I was able to come up with.

Chris Wilson was cast as a wounded soldier in "We Were Soldiers." Though his scene did not make it on the theatrical release, it is featured on the DVD in the deleted scenes. I know my short film has nothing to do with "We Were Soldiers" but I felt it was worth pointing out.

  • yeah, 60fps looks like crap.

  • @Evanpatricksmith yeah, like i said before. this was the first thing i shot with the panasonic and had almost no idea what I was doing. I've learned now. The camera is actually really amazing.

  • @PatrickBarrett03 Cool. Its so interesting how 60fps makes the video look almost sped up. No matter how nice of a camera you could have, it will look like a home movie. This video is pretty good tho dude. keep up the good work. and shoot in 24P!!!!!

  • @Evanpatricksmith It is. 24P is already so much better. Thanks for your input too!

  • Hi; Nice short, but I am having trouble trying to figure out the door knocking on the girl friends door............All of the sudden he walks away upset.........I didnt hear anything like another mans voice or anything that warrants he upset, walking back to the car and driving off.............Maybe I missed something....

  • @torchidman yeah, I had a sequence where he walks in after several knocks and discovers his girlfriend sleeping with another guy, but the scene didn't flow that well with the rest of the movie.

  • @metroliner89

Thanks. I look back on it now and cringe every time I see this because I always know I could've done better, but everyone has those moments. This was just another step in my learning process of understanding film. Thanks for the feedback though!
