I have to admit I can hardly recognize the face or the voice that had me all ga-ga in my youth. But this is such a beautiful song and he sings it with such feeling. Obviously Gary is much more than a teen heart throb. I'm glad. Thanks!

@hsswthearts Hi hsswthearts. I was only a lad of eight, when he peaked the charts in the autumn of 1969. Got to see Gary perform, three times in my life. It would be kool to be a teenager in 1969, and to see him in concert. With each passing decade, his exterior has changed a lot, just like the rest of us. I wish performers could stay looking young, FOREVER! it's just hard to accept changes. You see a man in his prime, on an album cover.... time changes people. We don't look the same!

Just had to say I've always loved this guys voice. His phrasing and passion is enjoyable. He's still got those high notes too! Hadn't heard this song before. How long ago was this broadcast? Thanks

Thanks. I have a couple more of Gary from his appearances on Nashville Now. There were 2 shows he did and I have both. There are a couple of songs that were never ever recorded so it is almost like hearing a new recording. Great stuff.
