You might be forgetting something in your search for a cause before the first effect; you get infinite regression. What caused the first cause? And what caused that? And so on. Ultimately there can be only one answer: something happened without a cause. You can't fall back to a god, because the existence of a god needs a cause too; gods are a red herring. But thankfully, we do have good *scientific* evidence of creating something from nothing: the Casimir effect and Hawking radiation.

do one about aliens....

@1775edde and you think everything that has been created is by your so called "faith", sorry, i not that big into the "big band theory" but your "faith" and what you're justifying for your faith is absolutly bullshit.
-
@1775edde If you truly believe something like that then why would you need faith to believe it? The concept of a god is just an idea embedded in our culture. It started as a middle-eastern war god used by tribes in the desert to justify killing each other and stealing cattle. All religions can be easily traced back to nonsensical mythology. The universe is here because a lot of extremely complicated physics took place, and it gradually developed and became more and more complex. Reality. Period.

The Big Bang Theory would be better described as Big Bang Creationism
-
I think the Golden ratio is a scientific explanation for Creationism. And for those who believe in the Big Bang, go outside and find two rocks. Take as long as you want, smash the two rocks together as often as you like and come back and let me know what you end up "CREATING". Life? A Universe? Now, take away the two rocks and create life or a universe with nothing. Yep. Thought so. CREATION WINS! :))

@Cainkane1 As i said believing in God is Faith something you don't have. If you want to keep on believing that we are made out of some hydrogen and carbon atoms compressed by gravity then that's totally "normal".
-
@1775edde Guess again. All scientific ideas are called theories. This is whether they are proven or not. The theory of gravity is a good example of this. The big bang theory has evidence whereas creationism has nothing scientific to back it up at all. Nada. Hopefully you don't think the theres evidence for the talking snake.

space and time didn't exist. No laws such as "something can't be created from nothing" existed before the big bang. so anything was possible since there was no laws of physics. also the big bang theory is deeper than that. its also not an almighty speck
something appearing from nothing is not impossible. look into quantum physics - there you will find something appearing out of nothing.

Thinking is great, but if you're gonna think about stuff, you better read up on it first. See, in this particular example, you had the wrong idea of what the big bang and vacuum and time are. In short - the vacuum is something rather than nothing. Spacetime is something, and our universe includes space and time in addition to all the matter and energy. To ask what came before time or what is outside of space is both meaningless - I hope you can see why.
