Ever wonder if and how you can use your Wacom Intuos 4 in Ubuntu?

A few notes: I own the Intuos4 Small and I love it. It's just right for the price. I've been drawing and painting on and off for the past half-decade. The image at the end is a reference to the late Bob Ross, an incredible oil painter who used to have a show on PBS called "The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross". He is the Chuck Norris of oil paints and is a constant inspiration of my latest works.

I hear you can use toothpicks as replacements for nibs, but I don't want to try it out for two reasons: the toothpicks I already have are too thick and I don't want to damage my pen.

Resizing your fuckups while using a tablet (to make, say, someone's face even) is the pussy way out.

Ubuntu gives +10 to Hipster cred.

  • Its Ubuntu 11.10 Oneric Ocelot not Natty Narwhal thats Ubuntu 11.04 :)

  • @burstpipes Gah! fail lol. I must've had Narwhals on the mind. Also doesn't help that Oneiric is harder to spell than Natty...
