This is a neat tool, but I get the feeling stalkers would utilize it to make pictures for their shrines.....or is that just me?

Wow, not perfect but damn good for a computer algorithm to decide what's important and unimportant in an image. There are so many applications for this technology today especially with the increasing popularity of portable devices with small displays and increased internet usage on said devices. I'm sure when this technology launches it will be a huge success.

Great technology! Blows my mind.
Could be used for creating great thumbnails and previews!

So I guess this tech needs to be standardized. The authoring tool should be integrated into Photoshop and the protect/remove area info should be saved as JPEG metadata that will be ignored by apps that don't support it. They'll scale the images traditionally. Finally, web browsers need to start supporting the format! It's a reasonable plan. So after two years, what's the holdup?

Not sure what's up with all the flamey comments here lately, so I figured I'd be a c-c-combo breaker. Take that!
