Being born in the city of Bamberg in 1959, I have never heard anything about these atrocities of the catholic inquisition in my hometown.

In 1998 the secret archives of the Vatican were opened for the first time to the public and in June of this year "The Spiegel" has brought the first big report about the worst witch burnings in the european history in Bamberg.

In 2004 I found the copper engraving of the MALEFIZ HOUSE, made in the year 1628, by Peter Ysselburg and since then, a team of more than a dozen people has worked and helped me on this unique project, which is now shown for the first time in english language.

The Malefiz Haus has first been presented in Bamberg, on September 14th of 2008 for the German Foundation for Monument Protection.
