The Israeli military says it is investigating the source of a YouTube video of Israeli soldiers in performing a choreographed dance while on patrol the West Bank city of Hebron. The clip begins with six soldiers in full battle dress, pointing their M16 rifles in various directions, as the sound of the Muslim call to prayer goes out over the rooftops. Then, they freeze, and then break into a synchronized dance to the song Tik Tok by American pop star Ke$ha. The Palestinian news agency Ma'an queried the Israeli military about the video. "The item in question was a joke carried out by soldiers. The matter is currently being examined by the battalion commander," the army said in reply.
