All these ads were first shown in 1982.
The Hot Gossip dancers are Legs & Co, they did this ad after leaving TOTP.

These ads date from 1982 and are some of my all time favourites. The "Gotta Lotta Bottle" theme was HUGE. I started work that year and we were always chanting it round the office!

Sexy, funny - and remarkably effective advertising. About the last time advertising used real bloke types in adverts rather some creative's idea of what a real man was.

PRICEJAMES, in what year did she died?

I see want you mean about getting stuck in yer head that tune its practically subliminal!

The ads were launched in early 1982 and instantly attracted attention from the tabloids. On Feb 5 1982, one of them (named after a certain heavenly body!) asked: "SO, HAVE YOU GOTTA LOTTA BOTTLE?" and there then followed a full-page quiz. Sadly, I scored "AS WET AS SPILT MILK"...

Zara Nutley... I've really no idea. I love her in these ads!

Would you care to give us more info about this...are you sure she's dead? Any details appreciated!
After Gordon Brown announced there would be no Autumn election, some Tories were on the news this week dressed as bottles of brown ale with a slogan that read something like 'notta lotta bottle'. Just shows how this ad has lasted.

There are lots of things I like about this: rare to see a parody of a real person in an ad, the lion-tamer who is obviously quite scared of the lion, the fact that a couple of the people are mouthing something different, which suggests they decided on 'lotta bottle' after some of the filming had been done.
