(Please note: in the video I introduce the song as a Hopi prayer--that's how the song was attributed when I learned it. I discovered after the fact that it is actually a Navajo [Dine] prayer. My apologies for any confusion!)
On July 19, 2009 harpists worldwide participated in offering music for a "Peace Hour". This event was initiated by http://harpistsforpeace.com - Harpists For Peace. Members of Harpers Hall (http://harpershall.com) gathered at a local public library to play music for peace. I'm here leading some community singing with a song I learned from the Threshold Choir (http://ThresholdChoir.org). These are Navajo (Dine) wisdom words set to a melody by an unknown musician. I'm playing on my wire-strung harp, whose bronze strings have a ringing sustain. May you be nourished by the music and find yourself restored to Beauty. I encourage you to sing along!
