The US absolutely does NOT need universal healthcare. The United States is unique, it isn't socialist. Socialism is nothing more than the government playing mommy and daddy for a bunch of overdependent, unmotivated, spineless weenies.

The government already has most medical records anyway when they pay for Medicare and Medicaid claims. Not to mention soldiers and their families and government , state and city employees. They also get your information from insurance companies. Nice scare tactic folks. They already have quite a data base on everybody they have been building it for at least 20 years.

@JonathanDeaux Shut the fuck up, that doesnt has anything to do with socialism. Rosevelt meat inspection wasn't socialists therefore universal health-care isn't. Medicare companies used there money to partake in poltics, if care is run under bank gov rule at which its money mades is only use for health not poltics then theres no problem.

@JonathanDeaux that soon became infected. Suddenly when his 'turn' comes up, he has a severe infection that hinders the ability to have the surgery. That wait was 6 months, he only made the 'list' when he could no longer walk. He suffered immensely for 3 more months, but the 'health care' system there did make sure they pumped him full of the cheaper cost narcotics. He's dead, and never had the surgery,,, and I feel he was overdosed on the narcotics, it's cheaper after-all.

@daniels37 In a word, horsehockey. While I do not live in, nor have received healthcare in european countries, I do have direct knowledge of a less socialist form of health care, namely Canada. I am a few generations removed from Canada but I still have family there. In 2007 we had to watch a family member with a bone disease (in his hip) suffer from a disintegration of his hip. He needed a hip replacement. He was placed on the 'list' to wait for it, he developed pressure ulcers (continued)

@JonathanDeaux i know what you mean but, that is not was socialism means, this can be very misleading. you said, " overdependent, unmotivated, and spineless weenies". have you ever lived in a socialist country or ever had any experience with any european countries that practice some form of socialism? don't tell me you read a book. did you know that, most socialist countries are far better off than the american system? please do your research before you talk.
