  • what is grafting and would you recommend using it? i heard it was something like taking cuttings of a plant and taping it on your own plant to improve the taste of your plant's fruit or to have two different brands of fruit on the same plant. the source that i got the info from didn't seem to reliable so I don't really know. your the best source of completely true information i have so thanks for answering all of my endless questions and hope you keep on making these helpful videos.

  • Yes, grafting is a good technique for trees. It will work better on certain varieties of trees. Apples graft fairly easily. Take a look at my video on Exotica fruit nursery, there is an example of grafting in that video. The time to graft is generally in dormant season, which has now past. I will have a video on grafting when the timing is right.

  • hey john can you do a video on just rock dust. i've watched a bunch of videos of jon biloon, a long time farmer on the big island. he's been using it for about 30 years. learned a bit listening to him, others should be informed too.

  • coming up soon :)

  • hey john i just picked up a bag of azomite, how much do you mix in, lets say for 10 square feet.

  • 1 pound per 10 square feet.. Although the more the better. (as much as you can afford). I think I put 20 pounds per 60 square feet.

  • Great video John

  • LOL... Leave it to you to make yet another great video!! I Luv luv luv the notion of you having visitors in the garden. I've seen enough of your vids that I feel like I know your garden inside and out, but was so great touring with your guest & seeing it with fresh eyes. How lucky she was!

  • Wow, the greenhouse looks good. What is the netting for in the back? Also, could you do a vid on cheap green houses? Maybe go visit a place that has some PVC and plastic greenhouses built?

  • I do agree that you should do a vid on rock dust. Is there a way someone could make thier own rock dust if they wanted to?

  • I can't believe non of your "nighbors" aren't growing some vegies after seeing how you do it. Eveytime I watch a vid I am so amazed at how much you can grow in such a small space. Have you ever looked at the vids from the "urbanfarm in the city"? It's about a family that has done the same thing you have. But I feel your way is better, the square foot way.

  • wrap a little soft foam around the mic and the wind sound will be blocked

  • Amazing garden !

I wish we had less harsh winters here in Montreal.
